On March 28th Brockport’s Words on the Verge Literary Reading Series will host local writer Denise Thompson-Slaughter . Thompson-Slaughter will read from 5pm until 7pm. Light refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public. This event and all Words on the Verge events take place at A Different Path Art Gallery in Brockport (27 Market St, Brockport, NY 14420). Denise Thompson-Slaughter is the author of Elemental (Plain View Press, 2010). Many of her poems and a few of her nonfiction pieces have appeared in various literary journals. She has worked for many years as an academic or a freelance editor and is currently the managing editor of the quarterly journal Reviews in American History at the University of Rochester.
