Writer Annette Daniels Taylor joins Words on the Verge on March 25th at 5pm.
Daniels Taylor is an award winning playwright, poet, and activist. Using poetry and performance, Annette explores language, sound, and identity, through culture and community experience. Sharing her work on stage, screens, and learning centers she finds great value working with youth at a higher risk of being lost in social and academic systems. Some of her education partnerships include : Buffalo City Summer School of The Arts; Young Audiences -WNY; Just Buffalo Literary Center; Erie County Youth Detention Center; People Inc; McKinley High School; Buffalo Academy of Performing & Visual Arts; Canisius College YALT program; Gateway Longview; Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries; Americorps, and Bufalo State College STEM-STEAM program. Currently an MFA Arthur Schomburg Fellow with the Department of Media Study, SUNY University at Buffalo; a 2016 Pink Door Poetry Fellow; graduate of CUNY, Borough of Manhattan Community College; and SUNY Empire State College.
