Our first reader this season is Robin L. Flanigan on 9-22-18. Flanigan launched her writing career while living in a Baltimore graveyard. She was a beat reporter for eleven years, winning several national awards, and now works as a freelance writer and editor for magazines, newspapers, websites and marketing collateral. Her work has been published in The Sun, Motherwell, and other literary magazines and anthologies. Robin was part of the 2016 cast of “Listen to Your Mother,” and has been interviewed on both coasts for podcasts about the writing process. Her coffee-table book on the city of Rochester was published in 2009, and her mindfulness-themed children’s book is forthcoming.
Words on the Verge is an intersectional literary reading series featuring women & femme writers (BIPOC,queer, non-binary, & trans women to the front!) in a safe, welcoming environment.
