Please join Just Poets for the Rochester debut of Karen Faris’ poetry-driven, one-woman play, “Aliens Like Us” at Nox Craft Cocktail Lounge on Thursday, March 21st at 7 PM! Karen Faris is a writer, poet, performer, and mixed media artist. She is the author of Before There Was Yonder and the artist book Strings of Motherhood. Her work has appeared in aaduna, descant, great weather for media and in other places. She has performed various versions of her poetry driven piece Aliens Like Us across New York State. She was selected as an “Emerging Artist” for Cayuga Museum’s 2019 visual arts showcase. Just Poets Presents is a new themed reading series hosted at Nox Craft Cocktail Lounge on the third Thursday of every month, and is a “no donation requested, no donation refused” event, with a tip jar solely for our featured readers—please, #PayThePoets! Nox provides this terrific venue to us free of charge—please, patronize our hosts! There’s always an open mic, too—please, bring a poem to share 💖—points for any out-of-this world pieces this month!!
