Words on the Verge   ~A Westside Literary Salon~ Event Reminder September 22nd About Robin L. Flanigan Flanigan launched her writing career while living in a Baltimore graveyard. She was a beat reporter for eleven years, winning several national awards, and now works as a freelance writer and editor for magazines, newspapers, websites and marketing collateral. Her work has been published in The Sun, Motherwell, and other literary magazines and anthologies. Robin was part of the 2016 cast of “Listen to Your Mother,” and has been interviewed on both coasts for podcasts about the writing process. Her coffee-table book on the city of Rochester was published in 2009, and her mindfulness-themed children’s book is forthcoming. Join us on September 30th as we celebrate the release of Before There Was Yonder. A book geared for middle school readers and beyond, Before There Was Yonder is a tale of a world in crisis and of a gentle bunny who takes it upon himself to venture far from the cozy world of Wonderland to learn more about what can be done to help heal the planet. The story illustrates the many ways in which we are all connected and that we are all in this together. Our first reader this season is Robin L. Flanigan on 9-22-18. Flanigan launched her writing career while living in a Baltimore graveyard.
