Katherine Weston transformed Different Path Gallery into "Wonderland Warren" for our June 16th reading with Karen Faris. The audience was filled to capacity and each person was transfixed by Kathy's lovely sculpture and Karen's captivating story. We were graced with musical entertainment (thanks to Karen's talented son Duncan), good food and wine, and great company. Attendees traveled from all over the region including Auburn and even Pittsburgh! For Bill Berry, Jr.'s notes on our event visit the aaduna blog.
You are invited to a celebration of unity with music! Join us as musicians from many cultures around the world entertain and unite a community as they perform traditional and contemporary music.
The musical line up includes: The Dady Brothers with the Drumcliffe Irish Dancers, The Mounafayni West African Percussion and Drum Ensemble, The New York Klezmer Orchestra, Fatima, Mary Ashton, Mike Joseph, Jorge Aparicio, and Brittany Vetter.
One-hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit Refugees Helping Refugees a non-profit organization in Rochester, NY that provides essential services to the local refugee population.
Our goal is to help them raise $25,000 and ESL Charitable Foundation will match this amount. Their main goal is to be able to have their own space to be able to provide more services, and be more accessible more hours during weeknights and weekends.
